Partner reading
Engaging in paired reading provides children with a social learning environment where they can articulate their thoughts, ask questions, and engage in meaning-making, which deepens their understanding.
Ask and answer
Asking and answering questions during story reading is very powerful. It transforms passive reading into an active, engaging, and interactive experience. Questioning encourages children to make connections and engage with the text critically.
Think and solve
Problem-solving enables children to work through challenges and seek solutions, which is great for developing resilience. When children are prompted to think through a character’s decisions, resolve conflicts, or predict outcomes, they practice critical reasoning and more importantly empathy skills.
Hands-on projects
Hands-on, project-based learning powered by constructionist and experiential learning approaches encourages students to solve real-world problems. It also helps students build resilience as they learn from mistakes and modify their work.
